The SPE S400 Emperor Turbo System is built for 6.7L Powerstroke owners who want real horsepower potential backed by clean packaging, proper engineering, and modular compatibility with other SPE components. This system replaces the factory charger with a large-frame S400 mounted in the valley, supported by our T4 manifold, hot-side piping, and a high-flow intake system designed specifically to feed big air.
Whether you’re targeting 700 hp or pushing toward the 1,200 hp range, the S400 Emperor System gives you the airflow, exhaust energy, and reliability needed for serious performance applications.
Big chargers require big airflow. The new S400 Emperor intake is built around a massive billet MAF housing, a large 6-inch filter, and a full 5-inch ID intake tube that runs directly to the turbo. Standard cold-air intakes or the lower adapter used on our S300 Emperor kits simply cannot supply enough air for an S400, so this system is designed specifically to eliminate restrictions and maintain consistent MAF scaling for tuners.
The best part is that the intake is modular. If you’re already running SPE piping or a VGT/S300 Emperor setup, the Big AF Intake can be added later without replacing your existing components.
The S400 Emperor System will be offered with a range of compressor and turbine combinations, in both journal and dual ball bearing options. From the 67/83, 72/87, and 76/87 up to the 76/96 and 80/96, there is an S400 size to match nearly any power level or build intent.
A 67 mm configuration supports roughly 700 hp, while the larger 80 mm setup with the 96 turbine can support close to 1,200 hp with the right fuel and tuning. Each option maintains strong drivability thanks to the manifold’s optimized exhaust pulse and short hot-side routing.
Just like our S300 Emperor system, the S400 Emperor System is fully modular. It integrates seamlessly with SPE intercooler piping, the dual-fueler system, the CP3 conversion, and other supporting SPE upgrades. The new intake clears dual-fueler hardware and maintains proper fitment without hack-job routing or compromised clearances.
We engineered this system so customers can change the main turbo components while retaining supporting hardware— reducing cost and complexity as builds evolve.
The S400 Emperor kit uses a T4 manifold and a streamlined hot-side design that eliminates unnecessary up-pipes and heat loss. The driver-side up-pipe stays factory, while the passenger-side manifold and single up-pipe route cleanly to the turbo. Shorter routing increases efficiency, reduces lag, and maintains strong exhaust pulse timing to improve spool behavior. Cast out of 600 series ductile iron. SPE’s design retains the original Hot-V principles of getting the heat and exhaust flow to the turbo as quickly as possible. A factory EGT bung is also cast in.
Turbos respond best to heat and exhaust pulse. This setup maximizes both.
The kit includes the hot-side piping, intercooler pipe, T4 manifold, downpipe, S400-specific intake, and everything needed to install the system on a 2011–2026 6.7L Powerstroke.
This is a non-VGT system built for performance and racing applications. It is not intended as a direct drop-in replacement for a stock work truck. When paired with the correct fuel system, tuning, and supporting mods, it offers excellent drivability and the power potential serious 6.7 owners expect.
SPE is expanding the 6.7 Powerstroke turbo lineup, including larger compound offerings using the S400 platform. The Emperor system is the foundation of that lineup and is designed to grow with customers as their builds progress.
