SPE Motorsport 15-19 6.7L Powerstroke 20+ Motor Conversion Kit

SPE Motorsport 11-19 6.7L Powerstroke 20+ Motor Conversion Kit

Dropping a new 20+ Powerstroke long block into a 2011–2019 truck shouldn’t be a guessing game. Our 11–19 to 20+ Motor Conversion Kit takes the headache out of the swap by giving you the hardware, adapters, and components needed to bolt your existing parts onto the new engine and get your truck back on the road.

This kit is built for customers running a 2015+ vgt factory style turbo setup (including 11–14 owners already converted to the 15+ turbo). Everything included is designed around letting that turbo and your original chassis components work with a current-production Ford long block.

What It Solves

Ford made several changes to the 20+ engines. Oil system updates, different exhaust manifold bolt patterns, new sensor styles, and changes in the cooling system all prevent a simple drop-in. This kit bridges that gap so you can use a readily available new engine without hunting for old parts or rewiring your truck.

Key Features:

Up-Pipe Conversion

This kit directly adapts the 20+ exhaust manifolds to a 2015+ turbo using newly designed up-pipes with proper routing for correct fitment. The included up-pipe gaskets and turbo gasket ensure a clean, leak-free installation.

Engine Mount Hardware

Because 2011–2016 trucks use smaller engine mount bolt holes, this kit provides the correct hardware for installing your existing mounts onto the 20+ block. The only modification required is to drill the original mounts so the updated larger bolts can pass through.

Cam and Crank Sensor Adapter

The 20+ cam sensor features a different connector and mounting style, so a plug-and-play harness adapter is included to integrate it with the earlier wiring. Simply swap your original crank sensor onto the new engine to complete the conversion.

Cooling System Block-Off

On 20+ engines, the transmission cooler is routed through the primary cooling system, which is not compatible with the 11–16 trucks. To correct this, the kit includes SPE’s water pump block-off, ensuring the cooling system functions properly in the earlier chassis.

Oil System Conversion Housing

The oil system conversion housing removes the variable volume solenoid used on the 20+ pumps and converts the system to constant-volume operation, matching the proven design of the 11–19 engines. It accepts SPE’s long or short CAT-style filters, includes threaded ports for the earlier oil pressure and temperature sensors, and utilizes larger internal passages for improved flow. All required hardware and auxiliary ports are included for a complete installation.

Kit Includes:

  • SPE 20+ engine to 15 Turbo Up-Pipe Set
  • Up-pipe to manifold gaskets
  • Turbo inlet gasket
  • Engine mount bolt hardware for installing the 11–16 mounts to the 20+ block
  • Cam sensor wiring adapter (harness adapter, male-to-female)
  • SPE water pump block-off flanges for trans cooler coolant ports (11-16)
  • SPE billet oil filter conversion housing
  • Oil filter housing gasket
  • Auxiliary ports and all installation hardware

Why SPE Built This

New 20+ long blocks are easier to get because they are in current production which also makes them less expensive. Older engines as new old stock will get increasingly scarce. This kit lets you reuse your existing turbo and supporting components while benefiting from the durability and availability of the newer engine.

Built for Convenience

No wiring hacks. No fabrication. No guessing.
Just the parts you need to bolt your components on, drop the 20+ motor in, and drive.
