South Georgia Motorsports Park was the place to be for the nation’s fastest radial tire racers this weekend. The biggest winner was Ken Quartuccio Jr. who, behind the wheel of his Pro Line Racing Engines-powered Camaro, locked up the Radial Outlaw Racing Series’ Radial Vs. World championship. Of course, a host of diesel drag racers made the trip to South Georgia Motorsports Park as well, mixing it up in Radial Vs. The World, X275, and N/T Pro Truck. In the latter category, Nick Bell drove his Wagler-powered Cummins, a 2WD third-gen, into the semifinals.

Class action lawsuits are underway in London and this time it's not just VW that's in hot water. The lawsuits are nothing we haven't heard of before, diesel vehicles that emit significantly more on the road than when being tested. The suit claims vehicles made by Ford, Mercedes, Renault, Stellantis, and Nissan from 2012 thru 2017 emitted 12X more on the road than when being tested. This seems to be on its way to being the biggest "dieselgate" style lawsuit to date, with over 1.6 million claimants. The courts estimate the trials will wrap mid 2026.
Dirt drags, monster dyno pulls, 20 classes of truck and tractor pulling, and a sprawling truck show capped off another impressive year at the annual Hub City Dirt Drags. This time around, Nathan Bandstra’s Duramax-powered Silverado won the Diesel Truck Challenge, thanks in large part to his sub-4-second passes in the dirt drags and a strong, fifth place effort on the chassis dyno. Other highlights included Warren Diesel Injection’s Pro Mod U.C.C. build making some fireworks on the rollers, a myriad of engine, turbo, and driveline carnage, and the event’s burnout road being open and active all day long on Saturday.

Dante Delaney, owner of Delaney’s Diesel, was on a mission Friday night: breaking into the 5’s with his 1,600hp LMM. With the tune-up set on kill, the nitrous bottles warm, and the single 80mm charger singing, Dante’s bright red GMC cut a 1.37-second 60-foot in route to its first ever 5-second trip through the eighth-mile, a 5.99 at 120 mph. It was a moment in Dante’s journey where he made sure to celebrate the victory. In his own words: “This wasn’t just another pass. This wasn’t luck. This was built. Earned. Fought for. A moment that carries everything I’ve poured into this truck and this life.”

And now a public service announcement from Michael Brown: It’s not just the lifters and camshaft that the ’19-newer 6.7L Cummins engines are eating—but leaking timing cases are becoming a thing, too. According to him, many fifth-gen owners initially assume they’ve got a bad crank seal when they spot the leak. As for the cam and lifters, Michael recommends the Hamilton Cams flat tappet conversion kit, which features the company’s proven 178/220. He also suggests the DNR Customs cam tray, which makes finessing the lifters out of the block much easier.
